Concept, then practice, then the real game
Chalk talk
One or two clear ideas before you ride, so you know what to look for.
Coached chukkars
Try it right away. We stop, reset and replay so you see why angles change the outcome.
Match observation
Watch a live game and spot what you just learned at full speed.

The goal isn't to bury you in rules. It's a few repeatable principles that help you anticipate instead of react, keep your shape instead of chasing, and see how defense sets up the next attack. Every rider gets hands-on correction, starting with the basics.
First-timers
Never ridden or never held a mallet. Matched horses, your pace, a coach beside you.
Riders new to polo
Confident in another discipline and ready for the swing, the rules and the game.
Players wanting a tune-up
Sharpen swing mechanics, angles and decisions before or during the season.

The right foundation is the fastest way up
Most players learn to hit the ball before they learn to ride for it, then spend years undoing habits. We start where good polo starts. Get these right and everything after comes sooner: faster horses, higher goals, playing alongside pros.
- Seat and balance that free your swing
- Correct grip and swing mechanics
- Timing the swing with your horse's stride
- Classic angles, on defense and on offense
We play the diamond
- The ball travels a diamondBuild from the back, go out to the edge of the field past midfield, then angle in toward goal.
- Ride the arcRiders follow the line of the ball in a half-moon, with your 1 up the field looking for the pass.
- Defense begins every attackSomeone is always covering the back, ready for when possession turns.
Horses & tack
Several matched horses through your week.
Coaching
Two sessions a day, hands-on correction.
Personal coaching
Private or a very small group, so every ride gets attention.
Indio, California
Winter polo fields, sun and palms.

Before you book
Do I need riding experience?
No. Bootcamps start from the ground up for first-timers, and players can book a tune-up instead.
Do I bring my own horse?
No. Horses and tack are included, and you'll ride several matched horses during your week.
What's the daily schedule?
Sessions usually fall between 8 and 11am and between 3 and 5pm, depending on field and polo schedules. Each session runs one to two hours. Keep those days open.
What about live chukkars and green fees?
Weeklong camps include two live chukkars with Daniel. Any rider can swap one session for two chukkars ($800 value). Extra chukkars are $400 for bootcamp riders, $450 otherwise. Green fees are set by each club and paid by the rider for you and Daniel; we confirm them before scheduling.
How do deposits and weather work?
All prices and deposits are per rider. A single lesson or one day is paid in full. A 3-day bootcamp takes a $500 deposit, and 5- or 7-day weeks take 30%. The balance is due on day 1. Pay by card through the links above, or by Zelle and save 3%. If weather cancels, you can reschedule twice; after that the deposit is non-refundable.
Is it safe for a beginner?
Coaching is private or in a very small group, so the coach watches every ride, and horses are matched to your level. Every rider signs the facility's waiver, and each facility carries its own insurance.
What should I bring?
Long pants, boots with a heel and sun protection. Helmets and mallets can be arranged if you don't have your own; a small damage deposit may apply.
